Understand the programme
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are jointly delivered by groups of higher education institutions. A programme usually lasts one or two academic years and can involve study in several countries. Graduates receive the joint or multiple degrees specified by their consortium.
Compare admission and scholarship selection
Some programmes offer competitive scholarships covering participation costs and contributing to travel, visas and living expenses. Admission and scholarship consideration can have different conditions. Read the consortium’s current instructions for applicants with and without funding.
Find your academic fit
Use the official course catalogue and compare the curriculum, partner universities, mobility sequence and degree awarded. Check which previous qualifications, subjects and language evidence are accepted. A bachelor’s degree, or a recognised equivalent route, is normally required; final-year applicants must meet the programme’s graduation conditions.
Prepare your application
Apply directly to the institution or consortium running the chosen master’s. Prepare your academic records, relevant language evidence and the supporting documents it requests. Use a focused statement explaining how your previous study and goals fit that particular programme.
Plan dates and practical costs
Many programmes accept applications between October and January for the following academic year, but the consortium sets the actual deadline. Check the current call. Compare confirmed funding with document, travel, housing and initial living costs, especially before the first payment.
