Your destination, your decisions
Choose with a clearer picture.
Explore Romania with an application plan built around your qualifications, subject interests and the full cost of studying.
Choose your course and language
Use the national Study in Romania portal and the university’s own course pages to compare programmes. Confirm the language of teaching, qualification awarded and any subject prerequisites. An English-taught course and a Romanian-language preparatory route have different preparation needs.
Check the non-EU route
Bangladeshi applicants should follow the instructions for non-EU candidates. The university will explain the application documents, academic evaluation and acceptance process. Some programmes require an admission examination. Confirm the current intake directly before preparing translations or paying fees.
Plan the visa stage
Once the academic acceptance steps are complete, review the official long-stay study visa route, known as D/SD. A short-stay visitor visa is not the route for starting a full degree. Follow the official guidance for the residence steps after arrival.
Compare the full cost
Obtain a written tuition schedule and payment terms from the institution. Compare accommodation and daily expenses in the city where you will study, and allow for insurance, travel and document costs. Treat scholarships as separate competitive applications with their own eligibility rules.
Organise your application documents
Prepare your passport, academic certificates and transcripts, and the language evidence accepted for your chosen course. Check which documents need certified copies or translations. Keep your name and qualification details consistent across the application.
Make a checklist for each institution, including any statement, portfolio or references it requests. Keep copies of everything you submit and monitor the official application account for messages.
Compare funding and award conditions
Ask the institution about current university or government funding opportunities and read the actual award notice. Check eligible study levels, subjects, teaching language and any nationality restrictions.
Compare confirmed tuition support with the remaining costs of housing, travel and daily life. Keep scholarship selection and university admission requirements in separate checklists.
Read the offer before you accept
Confirm the exact qualification, campus, start date, duration and any conditions. Ask for a written fee schedule and payment dates. Keep the offer and refund policy together so that you can compare options on the same basis.
Check who awards the qualification and whether it meets your academic or professional plans. Clarify any preparation course or additional assessment before paying a deposit.
Prepare for arrival and your first semester
Confirm accommodation, airport or station transport, registration dates and the university’s arrival instructions. Keep your passport, offer, official approvals and institution contacts accessible while travelling.
Ask the international office about orientation, health services and any local registration steps. Understand your academic timetable and the conditions attached to your permission to stay before making work or travel plans.
Before you accept an offer
Build a budget you can use.
Keep confirmed university charges, everyday expenses and application-stage payments in one plan.
| Plan for | Check before paying |
|---|---|
| University costs | Tuition, compulsory fees and payment dates |
| Accommodation | Rent, deposits, utilities and transport |
| Preparation and travel | Documents, insurance, official charges and flights |
| Funding | Written award terms, remaining costs and a reserve |
Prepare with confidence
