Your destination, your decisions
Choose with a clearer picture.
Explore Italy with an application plan built around your qualifications, subject interests and the full cost of studying.
Find your programme
Start with the degree subject, qualification level and language of teaching. Italian universities assess international qualifications and set programme-specific entry requirements. Check whether your chosen course needs an entrance test, portfolio or interview.
Prepare your application
Collect your passport, academic certificates and transcripts. Ask the university which translations and qualification-evaluation documents it accepts. For a course taught in English, use the programme’s own language requirements when choosing a test.
Plan pre-enrolment
Non-EU applicants who need a study visa follow the university’s admission instructions and the official Universitaly pre-enrolment process. University validation supports the visa application; it does not guarantee a visa. Keep the university and consular timelines separate.
Build a realistic budget
Request the current tuition schedule for your programme and applicant category. Add accommodation, food, transport, insurance, travel and document costs. Review university and regional funding calls separately, checking eligibility, required financial documents and deadlines before relying on an award.
Compare scholarship opportunities
Compare current Italian government, regional and university funding calls. Check the nationality, programme level, academic and financial criteria in the actual notice; each award has its own rules and timetable.
If income or household documents are requested, find out which evidence must be issued, translated or certified in Bangladesh. Prepare this early and check the submission instructions for the specific funding body.
Organise your application documents
Prepare your passport, academic certificates and transcripts, and the language evidence accepted for your chosen course. Check which documents need certified copies or translations. Keep your name and qualification details consistent across the application.
Make a checklist for each institution, including any statement, portfolio or references it requests. Keep copies of everything you submit and monitor the official application account for messages.
Prepare the study-entry stage
After following the applicable admission and Universitaly instructions, use official Italian consular guidance for your study visa application. Keep institutional decisions, pre-enrolment records, funding evidence and accommodation documents consistent.
University admission or pre-enrolment validation does not decide a visa application. Confirm the official requirements and timing for your circumstances, and keep copies of each stage.
Prepare for arrival and your first semester
Confirm accommodation, airport or station transport, registration dates and the university’s arrival instructions. Keep your passport, offer, official approvals and institution contacts accessible while travelling.
Ask the international office about orientation, health services and any local registration steps. Understand your academic timetable and the conditions attached to your permission to stay before making work or travel plans.
Before you accept an offer
Build a budget you can use.
Keep confirmed university charges, everyday expenses and application-stage payments in one plan.
| Plan for | Check before paying |
|---|---|
| University costs | Tuition, compulsory fees and payment dates |
| Accommodation | Rent, deposits, utilities and transport |
| Preparation and travel | Documents, insurance, official charges and flights |
| Funding | Written award terms, remaining costs and a reserve |
