Study in Denmark from Bangladesh

Why Choose Denmark for Higher Studies?

Denmark is globally recognized as one of the happiest and most innovative countries in the world. For Bangladeshi students, it offers a unique combination of high-quality education and family-friendly immigration policies. Unlike many other destinations, Denmark is extremely welcoming to spouses and dependents, allowing them to accompany you during your studies.

Top Reasons to Apply:

  • English-Taught Programs: You do not need to learn Danish to study. Universities offer Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees entirely in English.

  • Work Rights: International students can work 20 hours per week part-time and full-time during June, July, and August. Wages are high (approx. €15-€20 per hour), helping you cover living expenses.

  • Spouse & Dependent Visa: One of the biggest advantages is that you can apply with your spouse and children. Your spouse is also eligible to work full-time in Denmark.

  • 3-Year Post-Study Visa: After graduation, you can apply for an “Establishment Card” which allows you to stay in Denmark for up to 3 years to find a job.

  • Schengen Access: A Danish student visa opens the door to travel freely across 27+ European countries.

Admission Requirements

  • Academic Pathway: Bangladeshi students with an HSC certificate typically need to complete 1 year of university-level studies in Bangladesh or a recognized International Foundation program to meet the Danish entry standard.

  • A-Level Students: If you have completed your A-Levels with good grades, you may bypass the extra year and apply directly for a Bachelor’s degree.

  • English Requirement: An IELTS score of 5.5 – 6.0 is typically required for pathway or academy profession (AP) degree programs.

  • Academic Qualifications: You must have a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) + 1 Year of University study OR valid GCE A-Levels. Good grades in Mathematics are often mandatory for business and IT programs.

  • English Language Proficiency: A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 to 6.5 is required for English-taught Bachelor’s programs. Duolingo is generally not accepted for visa purposes.

  • Interview: Universities may conduct a Skype/Zoom interview to test your motivation and communication skills before issuing an offer letter.

  • Academic Qualifications: You need a relevant 4-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The subject of your Master’s must be related to your Bachelor’s degree (you cannot easily switch streams in Denmark).

  • CGPA Requirement: A CGPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) is recommended for public universities.

  • English Proficiency: An IELTS score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0) is the standard requirement. MOI (Medium of Instruction) letters are rarely accepted by top Danish universities, so IELTS is essential.

The sponsor will usually be required to provide proof of their identity, such as a certified copy of their passport or Australian citizenship certificate.

The sponsor may need to provide evidence of their financial capacity to support the visa applicant. This could include bank statements, pay slips, or a letter of employment.

The government of the UK provides health benefits for international students. Students are entitled to get free treatment from the National Health Services (NHS) during this period.

In some cases, sponsors may need to undergo a medical examination to prove they are in good health.

Character references from individuals who can vouch for the sponsor's character and ability to support the visa applicant may be required.

If you are sponsoring a family member, such as a parent or child, you may need to provide documents that prove your relationship, such as birth certificates or marriage certificates.

Sometimes, sponsors may be asked to provide statutory declarations explaining their relationship with the visa applicant and their commitment to supporting them during their stay in Australia.

Sponsors may need to sign a legally binding financial undertaking, stating that they will provide financial support for the visa applicant during their stay in Australia.

Job Opportunity

Part time jobs in Hungary for Bangladeshi Students

Mention Eligible two options

1. Part-Time Jobs (High Wages): International students in Denmark are allowed to work 20 hours per week during studies and full-time during June, July, and August.

  • Earning Potential: The average student wage is very high (approx. 110 – 130 DKK per hour). Working just 15-20 hours a week is often enough to cover your rent and living expenses in cities like Copenhagen or Aarhus.

2. 3-Year Post-Study Visa (Establishment Card): Upon graduation, you can apply for the “Establishment Card”. This gives you a 3-year residence permit to find a job or start a business.

  • Career Demand: Denmark is currently facing a shortage of skilled workers in IT, Engineering, and Healthcare. Bangladeshi graduates with these degrees have excellent chances of securing a full-time job and transitioning to permanent residency.
